Accumet Materials’ ceramic coatings are used for coating
metals and ceramics in high temperature applications to 3400 ºF. These materials are easy to use and contain
no volatile organic compounds, are non-flammable and environmentally safe.
• REFRACTOCOAT ALS is a single component aluminum oxide based ceramic
coating exhibiting temperature resistance to 3000 ºF. When fully cured the coating is bright white
and produces an excellent heat reflecting surface.
REFRACTOCOAT ALS can be
applied to all ceramic surfaces and also to some metals by brushing, dipping or
spraying. Applications include moisture
sealing of ceramics and high temperature insulation of electrical components.
• REFRACTOCOAT SIS is a
single component fused silica based ceramic coating, which exhibits excellent
thermal shock resistance because of its very low thermal coefficient of expansion. The coating can withstand temperatures up to
2500 ºF and can be applied by brushing, dipping or spraying.
REFRACTOCOAT SIS can seal
porous ceramic surfaces and exhibits a bright white smooth surface after
curing. It is an excellent thermal
insulator because it has very low thermal conductivity properties. The coating resists temperature cycling and
even direct flame impingement.
• REFRACTOCOAT MGS is a
two component magnesium oxide based ceramic coating exhibiting temperature
resistance to 3200 ºF. This material
exhibits a high thermal coefficient of expansion making it suitable for coating
metals and high expansion ceramics used in high temperature applications.
REFRACTOCOAT MGS can be
applied by brushing, dipping or sprayed when thinned. This coating is also ideal for potting very
small cavities or parts.
