Accumet Materials’ REFRACTOCAST
ceramics are ideal for potting, encapsulating or casting applications where high
temperature resistance is required.
REFRACTOCAST materials exhibit high thermal conductivity, good dielectric
strength and excellent chemical resistance to 3200 ºF. Applications include potting
electronic components when it is important to remove heat and hold components in
alignment as well as sensor applications, temperature probes, igniters, high
power resistors and accelerometers.
In addition, REFRACTOCAST is used as furnace components, brazing and heat
treating fixtures, molds and tooling. Accumet’s high temperature
materials are easy to use. After a
simple air dry for 1-2 hours and a low temperature cure at 200 - 500°F, these
materials are ready to use. REFRACTOCAST contains no volatile organic compounds,
are non-flammable and environmentally safe. • REFRACTOCAST ALC is a coarse grain aluminum oxide ceramic used for
casting relatively large structures or potting large sections where good thermal
conductivity and strength are needed to temperatures up to 3000 ºF. REFRACTOCAST ALC is strong and
offers good chemical resistance. Applications include producing brazing and heat
treating fixtures, insulation liners, tooling and furnace
components. • REFRACTOCAST ALF consists mostly of fine grain aluminum oxide ideal for use in potting small sections or casting small parts where fine detail is required. It exhibits high thermal conductivity and good dielectric strength to 3000 ºF. Applications include potting sensors, electrical feed thrus, thermocouples; temperature probes vacuum components and halogen fixtures.
